Supplying Industrial Cleaning Treatment for MITIE (Retail) Ltd and TescoI am asked to offer a reference to get a supplier, the very first question I ask is firstly 'Did they're going the extra mile for MITIE? MITIE was awarded growth cleaning Tender in July 2010. Around the time we were using ICE to produce machinery into the existing convenience Express stores. We had plumped for the RA431 compact scrubbing machine following their presentation, for these stores. This machine became our utility machine of preference during the trading day on the shopfloor in the format stores for use.

If ICE had not taken this process we might have needed to either go back to the table with the incumbent contractor and pay over the net book values for the machinery or request that the customer postpone the start day. We now entered minus four weeks to start date and we started to become concerned. I explained the situation and arranged a meeting with ICE. Without any firm commitments from MITIE, ICE instantly 'got with a contingency plan on the behalf aboard'. This involved considerable expense to ICE, speaking on delivery timescales to Switzerland surveying the stores and in the course of time taking the greatest risk in placing an order with Cleanfix without a guaranteed order from MITIE. This enabled MITIE to own and showed a enormous amount of commitment from ICE.



The machinery training took place with for every store had been specified on the surveys initially carried out and, upon delivery not just the machine operator but all staff on the shift. This gave us the skilling of operatives we were looking for. A training certificate was received by every member of staff prior to contract start date.

ICE first presented to MITIE (Retail) Ltd at November 2009 and within the subsequent year became the only supplier of cleansing machines. They brought an enthusiastic approach that was flexible innovative and adapting in those times of need. This is a supplier venture also it was encouraging and rewarding to both parties. Gives a great sign of ICE for an organization, the one which was the biggest ever machinery order placed by MITIE for its cooperative Group stores plus yet one is this example for Tesco Stores in September 2010.
